Shopify publishing setup
Shopify is the right path when the customer wants SEO articles published inside a Shopify blog.
The store stays in control of the theme, navigation, product pages, checkout, and final page design. 42flows sends the article into Shopify so the customer does not have to paste it manually.
When Shopify is the right fit
Use Shopify publishing when:
- The store has a Shopify blog or is willing to create one.
- SEO articles should live on the Shopify domain.
- The Shopify theme already renders blog articles well.
- The customer wants 42flows to publish content without a custom developer endpoint.
Use the universal webhook instead when the store is headless, uses a custom frontend, or stores editorial content outside Shopify's blog.
What gets published
42flows can create a Shopify blog article with:
| Article field | What it becomes in Shopify |
|---|---|
| Title | Blog article title. |
| Body | Article HTML rendered by the Shopify theme. |
| Summary | Article excerpt/summary where the theme uses it. |
| Tags | Shopify article tags. |
| SEO title | Search/social title metadata. |
| SEO description | Search/social description metadata. |
| Featured image | Article image when provided. |
Setup checklist
- Confirm the store has a blog section.
- Connect the Shopify store to 42flows.
- Confirm which blog should receive articles.
- Publish a test article.
- Review the public article page in the Shopify theme.
- Make sure the page is linked from the store where customers and crawlers can find it.
After publishing
Shopify themes vary. After the first article, check:
- The article URL is public.
- The title and description look right in the page source or SEO preview.
- The featured image displays well on desktop and mobile.
- Blog navigation or internal links make the article discoverable.
- The store's cache/CDN is serving the latest version.
Redelivery guidance
Use clear article slugs. If the same topic is sent again, check the Shopify blog before publishing so the store does not end up with duplicate articles.
For custom update behavior, use the webhook path and let the customer's app upsert by slug.
